To Restrict or Not Restrict: That is the Question
This workshop will explore the complicated world of human rights restrictions. Your hosts will discuss different types of rights restrictions, rules and regulations, and what should be done before restrictions are put into place. The workshop will also discuss ways to reduce imposing rights restrictions focusing on skill building instead. This workshop is designed to help guide your outlook and decisions in the future regarding human rights restrictions and hopefully will help you to be able to decide and answer the question when it arises in your professional setting: “To Restrict or Not to Restrict: That is the Question.”

· Ethical implications of restrictions on a person’s rights

· Techniques for safely determining when and how to fade restrictions
· Evidence-based treatment strategies for functionally based skills building
