Hopes have been high in Europe following President Biden’s election in November that the United States will swiftly rejoin the Paris agreement and that international cooperation on climate change will be a key priority for transatlantic relations. However, the current clashes between both Washington and Beijing and the E.U. and Beijing have raised concerns about how far international cooperation can work to overcome these rifts and whether multilaterally tackling climate change could bridge these growing divides. This Transatlantic Perspectives webinar seeks to shed light on this very question, zooming in on the role of the Transatlantic partnership as both sides weigh their options of engaging with China on the global impact of climate change.
ISDP is delighted to welcome three distinguished speakers to this webinar; Dr. Kelly Sims Gallagher, Dr. Matthew Gidden, and Dr. Janka Oertel.
