Liz McCausland is an experienced attorney and Supreme Court Certified Circuit Civil Mediator. She earned a Bachelors of Arts degree from the University of Florida in 1994 and her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Florida School of Law in 1997. Prior to starting Liz McCausland PA, Ms. McCausland practiced civil litigation and represented both nationwide companies such as Hertz Rental Car and private clients. Today, she concentrates her practice in bankruptcy and mediation. She serves on the committees that established both the Orange County Mortgage Modification Program and the Orlando Bankruptcy Divisions’ Mortgage Modification Mediation Program. Ms. McCausland’s vast knowledge and experience in the area of Bankruptcy Mortgage Modifications can be contributed to conducting over 4,000 Mortgage Modification Mediations in every district in Florida as well as Indiana, California, Arizona and Nevada.
Jamos "Jay" Mobley
Staff Attorney @Legal Aid Society of the Orange County Bar Association
Jay is the Senior Housing and Consumer Debt attorney at The Legal Aid Society of the Orange County Bar Association where for the past 8 years he has dealt with landlord/tenant disputes, evictions, and consumer debt litigation. Jay serves on the Florida Bar’s Public Interest Law Section Executive Committee and is the Chair of the Section’s Homelessness Subcommittee. He is a member of the Executive Board of Heart of Florida United Way’s Mission United veterans’ program and serves a Chair of Mission United’s Legal Committee. Jay has been active in the legal aid/legal service statewide collaborative response to the pandemic eviction crisis. Jay’s work with tenants during this crisis has been noted by ABC News Nightline, NPR, The Washington Post, the NY Times, The Orlando Sentinel, and the Brennan Center for Justice at NYU School of Law. Jay has appeared locally numerous times on Channels 6, 9 and 13 to discuss tenant rights and the eviction crisis cause by the pandemic.
