Richard Knaster (SAFe Fellow, Methodologist, and SAFe Distilled Author @Agile Rising)
Richard has more than 30 years of experience in software and systems development, in roles ranging from developer to executive, and has been leading large-scale Lean-Agile transformations for well over 15 years. As a principal consultant, Richard is passionate about helping organizations create a better environment to deliver value, improve quality and flow, and be more engaging and fun. He actively works on advancing SAFe’s Lean-Agile methods as a SAFe Fellow. Richard is the co-author of the SAFe Distilled book series and is a methodologist and principal contributor for SAFe.


Richard is an expert in Lean Portfolio Management (LPM) and Value Stream Management. He led the development of the Lean Portfolio Management guidance in SAFe and developed the LPM course. He’s also the author of the ebook on Value Stream Management for the Digital Agile.

Michelle Warner (Principal Consultant, SPCT @Agile Rising)
Michelle is an experienced transformation leader and pragmatic agile practitioner with nearly 20 years of experience across organizations of all sizes. She has coached teams in small start-ups, led enterprise-scale transformations for Fortune 500 companies, and worked in multiple countries.

As an experienced Agile Transformation coach Michelle’s goal is to meet people where they are and help them improve their teams, companies, systems, and themselves. Today, Michelle specializes in working with organizations that are going through Lean-Agile Transformations. With her unique perspective and background, Michelle takes her experiences and learnings and weaves them into her training sessions, facilitation sessions, and coaching sessions.
