Women's Voices in Modern Irish Poetry
In a joyful evocation of the everyday challenges and exceptional experiences in women’s lives, The Here Comes Everybody Players’ actors will use Zoom to present poetry by living Irish women poets North and South, in English and in Irish (with translation). Work by poets including Mary O’Donnell, Nuala Ní Dhomhaill, Jane Clarke, Leontia Flynn, Máire Mhac an tSaoi and Sinéad Morrissey will weave a rich tapestry of images and ideas about female identity, joy, sorrow, revelations, motherhood and other “matters of life and death”.

The poems, interspersed with music, will be introduced by Dr. Kelly Matthews, Associate Professor of English (with a focus on twentieth-century Irish literature) at Framingham State University.
