2021 National Opinion Poll: Canada’s Generational Perspectives on Asia
The Asia Pacific is the economic epicentre of global growth, innovation, and talent. While Canada considers deeper engagement with the region, it is critical that we gauge Canadian perspectives and awareness of Asia – especially among young adults – to ensure that Canada is keeping pace with changing global dynamics, now and into the future.

APF Canada’s 2021 National Opinion Poll: Canada’s Generational Perspectives on Asia is a thematic survey that analyzes Canadian perspectives about the Asia Pacific while exploring the generational divide across critical issues. The poll identifies gaps in Canadians’ awareness about Asia and effective ways to fill those gaps to better inform future engagement by government, business, and other stakeholders.

Join us for the official release of our 2021 NOP results, touching on such topics as:

• Canadian impressions of key Asian economies, including China, India, and Japan

• Differences in opinion between Baby Boomers, Generation X, Millennials, and Generation Z

• Differences in opinion between Canadians of Asian descent and those of non-Asian descent

• Knowledge of and willingness to learn about Asia and Asian languages across generations and ethnicity

• Exposure to Asia in Canadian education

• Opinions on the impact of Asian technology, immigration, and culture on Canada

• Views on the importance of ‘Asia competency’ to Canada’s future economic prosperity and diversity

• Changing sources of knowledge and information about Asia

Please join APF Canada’s President and CEO, Jeff Nankivell; Vice-President, Research & Strategy, Dr. Jeffrey Reeves; and Program Manager, Perspectives Asia, Dr. Sreyoshi Dey, for the virtual launch of this major survey of Canadian attitudes towards Asia.
