Human Capital Accounting Disclosure

On June 7, the Working Group on Human Capital Accounting Disclosure submitted a rulemaking petition to the SEC requesting the Commission develop rules to require public companies to disclose sufficient information to allow investors to assess the extent to which firms invest in their workforce.

Join CII General Counsel Jeff Mahoney as he discusses the petition and a corresponding research paper entitled Wage Wars: The Battle Over Human Capital Accounting with the co-authors of the paper, Colleen Honigsburg and Shivaram Rajgopal, who are also co-chairs of the Working Group on Human Capital Accounting Disclosure and Robert J. Jackson, Jr., former SEC commissioner and member of the working group.
