Single-Cell and Novel Proteins in Aquafeeds

Emerging technologies such as the use of single-cell proteins in aquafeeds had been trending but now are accelerating as synthetic biology techniques have become more widespread. These techniques have been honed as the world’s scientists addressed COVID. Such technologies are also enabling fish nutritionists to deliver tailor-made proteins to different aquaculture species according to the desired nutritional profiles. Customizable nutrients enable more efficient nutrition and have potential to reduce feed and production costs for fish farmers.

In this session, we welcome innovators of single-cell protein and novel protein concentrates for aquafeeds to update everyone on the latest progress in fishmeal replacement, research, and plans for the future of their products.
