NYS Tax Resources for Kinship Families

It’s tax season – and the deadline for filing federal and NYS tax returns is Tuesday, April 18, 2023.

Join us for a Lunch & Learn webinar with Francine L. Schoonmaker, Director of Operations, Office of Tax Policy Analysis for the NYS Department of Taxation and Finance. She’ll discuss free filing resources, NYS Tax Credits that may apply to you, and free financial education you can find on the Tax Department’s website.

The presentation will also include an introduction and overview of services provided by the NYS Kinship Navigator from Heather Radzikowski, Senior Regional Coordinator.

Francine Schoonmaker manages the operations of three diverse bureaus covering taxpayer guidance, tax policy, and communications. These bureaus are responsible for producing much of the department’s external communications and guidance, including forms, instructions, notices, and memorandums, plus all public website content.
