Melissa Alvares

Melissa is the Vice President of Marketing at MindBeacon and has over 20 years of experience in marketing within the technology sector. Prior to joining MindBeacon, Melissa built marketing teams at Ian Martin Group, Sparkrock and most recently Swift Medical. Her background also includes 10 years at IT solution provider Softchoice where she was part of a marketing team of seven people that grew to over 100 during her tenure. Melissa has dedicated her career to working for purpose-driven companies where the culture of the company is laser focused on changing the world and empowering employees to make it happen. She has helped shape the culture, corporate give back and sustainability strategies of both start-ups and large enterprises. This includes her time as a board member of Softchoice Cares where she helped guide the organization’s corporate give back strategy and travelled to Africa with them twice to build computer labs, helping bridge the digital divide.
Khush Amaria
Senior Clinical Director @MindBeacon
Dr. Khush Amaria is a Senior Clinical Director at MindBeacon, which provides Therapist-Guided Therapy, Live Therapy and in-person therapy through the CBT Associates network of clinics. Prior to MindBeacon, Dr. Amaria was a Clinical and Health Psychologist at the Hospital for Sick Children. In her clinical practice, Dr. Amaria provides treatment for children, adolescents, and adults with a variety of difficulties and supports community outreach on related topics. Dr. Amaria is also involved in supporting employers, HR leaders and their employees, in meaningful guidance and effective solutions for managing mental health in work settings. Dr. Amaria is a member of the College of Psychologists of Ontario, Canadian Association of Cognitive and Behavioural Therapies (CACBT-ACTCC) and the Ontario Psychological Association. She is credentialed as a CACBT-ACTCC Certified Cognitive Behavioural Therapist.
