Stephanie Tillman
Midwife, writer, speaker, and activist. Founder and writer of ‘Feminist Midwife
Stephanie Tillman (pronouns: she/her) is a midwife at the University of Illinois at Chicago. She completed her undergraduate degree in Global Health and Medical Anthropology at the University of Michigan, and her graduate degree in Midwifery at Yale University. Stephanie is a Clinical Medical Ethics Fellow at the University of Chicago, where she is focusing on consent in pelvic care. She is on the Boards of Directors of the Midwest Access Project and Nurses for Sexual and Reproductive Health, is a member of the ACNM Ethics Committee, and is an Advisory Committee member of the Queer and Transgender Midwives Association. She is a widely published and prolific speaker on trauma-informed care, consent in pelvic care, sex positivity, including multiple hospital Grand Rounds, midwifery and OBGYN national conferences, graduate medical, nursing, and midwifery programs. Stephanie is the writer and activist @FeminisMidwife.
Ebony Marcelle
Director of Midwifery @Community of Hope Family Health and Birth Center
Ebony Marcelle is the Director of Midwifery at Community of Hope that includes Family Health and Birth Center. Formerly the Administrative Chief of Midwifery Service at Medstar Washington Hospital Center she completed her nursing education at Georgetown University and Midwifery at Jefferson University. She is currently pursuing her Doctorate at Frontier University.In 2019 she was inducted as a Fellow into the American College of Nurse Midwives. In 2018, she completed Duke University and Johnson & Johnson Nursing Leadership Fellowship. She adjunct faculty at Georgetown University and currently guest faculty at IHI (Institute of Health Improvement) focused on rebuilding systems to address racism and health equity. Her advocacy work has included multiple congressional briefings creating awareness around the need for policy changes to reduce maternity care disparities. Mrs Marcelle is known for her passion in midwifery and midwifery’s role in reproductive justice.
Brittany Sharpe McCollum, CCE(BWI), CD(DONA)
Certified Childbirth Educator, Doula and Breastfeeding Counselor & Pelvic Biomechanics Educator @Blossoming Bellies Wholistic Birth Services
Brittany Sharpe McCollum, CCE(BWI), CD(DONA) is the owner of Blossoming Bellies Wholistic Birth Services based out of Philadelphia PA, providing childbirth education classes, birth doula services, and dynamic labor support and pelvic biomechanics training workshops for birth professionals and expectant parents. She has been offering birth-related services since 2007 and continues to work towards change in the maternity care system in a way that is two fold. Brittany offers expectant parents in person and virtual group and self-paced childbirth education as well as doula support, guiding parents in developing the tools to be actively involved in their care. She also shares her trainings on evidence based fetal positioning and pelvic dynamics and biomechanics through conference presentations, workshops, and webinars for clinical and non-clinical care providers and childbirth professionals.
