Meet Joshua the exceptional 15-year-old boy who is a Global Positive Role Model. He has unusual skills in 8 different areas. Maths, Foreign Language, History, Philosophy, IT, Art, Sport and Science. He is on the Autism Spectrum – Diagnosed with Asperger’ Syndrome. Joshua was born in the U. K in 2005. He was taught at home from the age of 10 months.
He learned to read fluently using phonics at 2 years 6 months old. Started learning Japanese and Chinese at 2 and a half yrs. Since he was 4 years old, he decided that when he grows up, he wants to be a Neuro-Surgeon and artist.
At 6 years old, he completed a master class in Philosophy and a Historical Enquiry Research project on the Great Plague of 1665 at Oxford University. He was awarded a distinction in both subjects.
He has won 15 National Awards for Education. He is the Black Youth Achievement (BYA`s) Child Ambassador for Education. He was appointed as the L.i.F.E Support Ambassador for BMAN (Boys Mentoring Advocacy Network in Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, Uganda, South African and the U.K.
Knox has co- authored this book with his son Joshua. Knox does presentations where he shares his experience with parents and professionals on some of the best ways, he has found to support children with Autism.
Knox was born on the island of Grenada in the Caribbean and graduated from the university of North London with a B. A Philosophy Degree specialising in Political Theory and Symbolic Logic. He also holds an MBA in Non-Profit Sector Management from the University of East London. Knox has spent the last 40 years researching and lecturing on Classical African Civilisations. Knox was a District Manager for 11 years with World Book International an American Publisher of Educational reference Materials which operated in 40 countries. In 1992 he was the winner of the Top District Manager for Britain and Ireland. He also won an International Award for his work in the field of Education in Istanbul Turkey.
