Join the Sustainable Food Lab, Fair Trade Advocacy Office and the Living Income Community of Practice for an upcoming webinar to discuss the Role of Governments in Enabling Living Income in Global Agriculture Value Chains.
Living Income is an important milestone for smallholder farmers along the pathway to prosperity. Both supply and demand-side Governments play an important role in enabling a Living Income, but to-date very few governments have institutionalized the concept. Why should governments adopt Living Income Strategies and Policies? What examples exist? What is needed to engage more public policy makers and ensure that all farmers along the value chains receive a Living Income?
In July 2022 the Sustainable Food Lab and the Fair Trade Advocacy Office published Living Income Guidance for Governments, “The Role of Governments in Enabling Living Income in Global Agriculture Value Chains: Guidance for public policy makers”. In a continued effort to share learnings and spur conversation on this topic, we invite you to join our upcoming webinar.
We will briefly present the Guidance Document and then hear from public policy makers and NGO leaders who are helping to shape strategy and create policy related to Living Income.
