Using CurrikiStudio Interactions to Inspire Curiosity and Critical Thinking
Join us on Wednesday, January 27th at 4pm ET to explore how you can create immersive learning experiences to ignite student learning.

Bert Bower, TCI’s CEO, has been on the forefront of active learning for over 30 years. The social studies and science curriculum resources and programs he’s developed get students out of their seats, actively and purposefully engaged in discovering content, and asking questions. Bert is now building active learning experiences with CurrikiStudio like nothing you’ve ever seen before. The projects he will share are highly immersive, visual, interactive, incorporate audio, and video. Bert’s CurrikiStudio creations go beyond the base of Bloom’s Taxonomy (Remember and Understand) to the top (Analyze, Evaluate, and Create).

Bert Bower
CEO @Teachers' Curriculum Institute - TCI
Bert Bower, Ph.D., is the founder and CEO of TCI, a publishing company created by teachers for teachers. Bert has truly experienced the classroom from every perspective and continues to actively teach in Bay Area districts. He began his career as a classroom aide, then taught social studies for eight years, and earned a doctorate in curriculum and teacher education from Stanford University. For the past 30+ years, he has been crafting innovative K–12 social studies programs by collaborating with teachers and trying out new ideas in the classroom. His goal is to defeat the "silent violence" of stand-and-deliver teaching that leaves youth passive and bored by creating programs that teach students to ponder and participate. Bert combines proven teaching strategies with cutting-edge technology to successfully reach all learners in the diverse classroom, even the students who sit in the back of the classroom and rarely speak.
