The Critical Language Scholarship is an intensive, fully-funded overseas language and cultural immersion program for American university students. Students spend the summer abroad studying one a critical and understudied language (Arabic, Azerbaijani, Bangla, Chinese, Hindi, Indonesian, Korean, Persian, Portuguese, Punjabi, Russian, Swahili, Turkish, or Urdu). U.S. citizens in any year, including seniors graduating in 2021, are eligible to apply.
