Earth Day Special: The Global War with Plastic
“Plastic!” In the 1967 movie, “The Graduate,” Dustin Hoffman’s character is given that one word piece of advice for his future. Little did most of us know that plastic would become one of the worst pollutants on the planet in the 50+ years since.

The expansion of the plastic industry and the subsequent crisis of terrestrial and ocean pollution is the topic of the Frontline and NPR investigative documentary “Plastic Wars.”

Please join us to hear directly from Laura Sullivan, correspondent and investigative reporter for National Public Radio, and the reporter who created “Plastic Wars,” on the current state of plastic pollution in the world. We will also be joined by Kerrin O’Brien, Executive Director of Michigan Recycling Coalition, who will discuss recycling as a part of the plastic pollution solution.

We encourage you to watch “Plastic Wars” in advance of the webinar. You can watch it using one of the two links provided below.

There is no charge for this webinar, but registration is required.
