John has been involved in the Transportation Industry since 1974 in roles as diverse as Driver, Safety & Compliance Manager, Terminal Manager and Systems Analyst in many types of operations from van, reefer, flatbed, over-dimensional, tank and dry bulk fleets. He became a Registered Insurance Broker in 1995 and a Certified Risk Manager in 2004. John joined Dalton Timmis (now NFP Canada) in February of 1998. He currently manages a book of trucking clients from single truck owner operator accounts to large fleets. Through his career John has developed and implemented specialized risk management programs for the trucking industry, maintaining strong relationships with insurance companies and key industry suppliers. John's extensive background in trucking and insurance industry is a great asset to our clients as he understands their business from the ground up and is able to provide customized insurance and risk management programs that are effective in ensuring their business success.

Client Executive with NFP Canada and helping clients with their trucking insurance requirements. My experience: I have been in insurance industry for 6+ years and joined Dalton Timmis in Nov, 2015. Before joining insurance industry, I have experience in automotive sales in Canada and hotel industry experience with Taj Hotels in India. John has been and is my mentor and showing me how insurance can be profit center for the large fleets. We are showing our clients on how to mitigate their risk with various risk management strategies which can help our trucking clients to achieve better insurance terms from the market. The long term strategy is to move the clients into captive program so they can achieve better results and see insurance as an investment cum profit center rather than cost to operate their business. In my book of business, I have single truck operator to large fleets over 100+ trucks.
