About Climate Finance Week Ireland 2022
Climate Finance Week Ireland 2022 (#CFWI22) will take place from 17 – 21 October 2022. Now in its fifth year, the event is an output of the Ireland for Finance annual Action Plan. It is an annual gathering of stakeholders engaged in advancing sustainable finance in pursuit of tackling climate change – a key action under the ‘Ireland for Finance Strategy’.
The theme of this year’s week is 'Investing in a Climate Resilient Future Now - Delivering Ireland’s Sustainable Finance Roadmap’. It will examine how organisations can bring forward the sustainable finance agenda in an increasingly challenging policy environment, focusing on articulating the progress achieved to date on catalyzing funding for the transition through the European Green Deal and its sustainable finance agenda.
Chartered Accountants Ireland is identified as a responsible stakeholder in the Ireland for Finance Plan, published by Minister of State for Financial Services, Credit Unions, and Insurance, Seán Fleming TD in February 2021. Chartered Accountants Ireland is in the Action Plan, in its support of the financial services sector. Since the Ireland for Finance plan was published, Chartered Accountants Ireland has launched its Certificate in Sustainability Strategy, Risk and Reporting, and integrated sustainability across its entire CPD programme, in addition to growing the numbers of students to its flexible route by to Chartered Accountancy within the financial services sector.
