Despite state-wide shelter in place orders in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, several cities in California and across the U.S. have continued to be plagued by high rates of gun violence. Now more than ever, we must continue efforts to understand and address this issue so that our communities remain safe and healthy.
On Monday, June 1 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. PST, the National Institute for Criminal Justice Reform (NICJR), Hope and Heal Fund, and Inland Congregations United for Change are hosting a virtual Town Hall event to share the results of NICJR’s latest report on the Cost of Gun Violence in San Bernardino and the City’s collaborative response to help reduce the human and financial toll of gun violence on our community. Invited speakers include the Mayor’s Office, City Council, the Police Chief, and representatives from local community-based organizations.
