Dr Sadhbh Joyce- Senior Psychologist and Conjoint Academic at the Black Dog Institute- Sadhbh grew up in rural Ireland before moving to Australia to pursue her research in resilience and mindfulness. She has developed an award-winning training program for Fire and Rescue NSW to enhance resilience in first responders. Sadhbh outlines practical ways to manage stress and enhance personal resilience during times of uncertainty and why this is central to good mental health.
Mr Steven Carrigg- RAMPH Coordinator, Rural Adversity Mental Health Program- NSW Health: Steve has worked in health in remote settings in WA and NT before making rural North Coast NSW his home with his young family. He has a special interest in men’s mental health, reducing stigma and early intervention.
Mr Wayne Wigham- Lived experience presenter for the Black Dog Institute: Wayne is an ex-professional NRL player, teacher, firefighter, and business owner and the proud father of two adult sons. He talks about ‘what it’s like to be a big tough guy with depression’ and shares the advice that has helped his wellbeing
