COVID-19, older people and non-communicable diseases.
Before the COVID-19 pandemic, older people in low and middle-income countries experienced high rates of death and illness from non-communicable diseases (NCDs). They now face a double threat. Additionally, some NCDs increase the risk of COVID-19 case fatality and disrupted access to health services limits access to essential treatment for NCDs. The webinar will explore these issues and try to identify practical responses.
