Certification schemes for energy crops and good practices from the field
ETA Florence, partner of the BIKE project (Biofuels production at low ILUC risk for European sustainable bioeconomy) is pleased to invite you to attend the webinar "Certification schemes for energy crops and good practices from the field", taking place on the 7th of December 2022 (10:30 CET).

Certification schemes for low-ILUC risk energy crops and biofuels are essential to prove that they are grown in a sustainable way, without causing any harm to the environment. Such crops can then be used in advanced biofuel production, thus truly helping the decarbonization of the transport sector.

The BIKE project deals precisely with these topics and invites you to a panel debate where our experts will guide you through the Certification Scheme for low-ILUC risk crops developed in BIKE, and the different crop options for such cultivations.

10:30 Introduction to the project (David Chiaramonti, POLITO, RE-CORD)
10:45 The certification scheme developed in BIKE (Elwuin Edgardo Fiallos, ISCC)
11:10 Crop options and sustainable Value chains designed in BIKE
- Brassica Carinata for renewable diesel (Oona Koski UPM)
- Castor oil for HVO (Riccardo Bertorelli, ENI)
- Perennial crops for bioethanol (Efthymia Alexopoulou, CRES)
- Biogas done right (Carlo Pieroni, CIB)
11:50 Conclusions and Q&A
