As Global Head of Operational Due Diligence at Gottex, Mr. Merrigan led a team of four individuals based in the U.S., Europe, and Asia that conducted the operational due diligence on over 150 hedge funds with varying investment strategies. Prior to his four years at Gottex, Mr. Merrigan implemented the first in-house operational due diligence program at General Motors Asset Management, one of the world's largest pension plans, with assets under management exceeding $100 billion. Mr. Merrigan has focused his career on alternative investments, working as a hedge fund analyst at HRJ Capital, a boutique firm, and at Credit Suisse. Mr. Merrigan began his career working in the operations group of GAMCO Investors. Mr. Merrigan is a 1997 graduate of Boston College. Michael Coppens (Managing Director @Cambridge Associates) Mike is the Global Head of the Business Risk Management Group. He has over 17 years of investment industry experience and has been with the firm since 2012. In his role, Mike is responsible for overseeing the firm’s operational due diligence of investment managers globally across asset classes. Prior to joining Cambridge Associates, Mike was a senior consultant in the financial services advisory group with PricewaterhouseCoopers. In this role, he consulted for financial institutions on a variety of strategic and operational initiatives. Prior to this, Mike was an equity analyst for DG Capital Management where he performed fundamental analysis of large and mid-cap equities. Before moving to the investment team at DG Capital, Mike was an operations associate and was responsible for all back-office functions.
