With the rapid changes regarding COVID-19, it can be difficult to stay up to date with all that is happening in our islands. The Hawai‘i Public Health Institute (HIPHI) will be offering a series of webinars on the impact of COVID-19 on our communities.
Contact tracing is essential for Hawaiiʻs next phase of COVID-19 response. A one-year, $2.5 million partnership between the DOH Disease Outbreak Control Division and UH’s UHealthy Hawaiʻi Initiative will leverage UH faculty expertise and existing courses across the 10-campus system to rapidly develop training programs. Their goals: train approximately 300 contact tracers, and increase the universityʻs capacity to graduate 100 community health workers each year. Please join us as we learn about this partnership from Dr. Sarah Park and Dr. Aimee Grace.
The May 27th Presenters:
Aimee Grace, MD, MPH, FAAP, Director of Health Science Policy for the University of Hawaii (UH) System
Sarah Park, MD, Hawaii State Epidemiologist and Chief of the Disease Outbreak Control Division, Hawaii Department of Health
