During this three-part session, we will cover the issues that EMS leaders “wish they had known”, “should have known”, and now “do know” about helping EMS organizations navigate this protracted global pandemic. As EMS agencies, we often profess to prepare for the worst. However, many EMS organizations found themselves scrambling prepare their workforce to safely respond to the Coronavirus and its impact on our country. This session will focus on the would’ve/should’ve impacts on how we must evolve workforce practices such as, employee safety, health & wellness, and employee onboarding & development for the next stretch of the COVID-19 pandemic response. Additionally, we hope to deliberate on the other would’ve/should’ve workforce opportunities for EMS leaders as they prepare their organizations for the future.
