Based on a Chapter from his latest book Luke explores some of the barriers that might occur for autistic people within the healthcare system, along with some possible ways forward to reduce those barriers and reduce risk of discrimination. In the second part of the talk Luke suggests nine considerations (he argues that they could even be global reasonable adjustments) that could help reduce autistic anxiety and lead to better autistic well-being.
Dr Luke Beardon is a senior lecturer at Sheffield Hallam University and is highly experienced in the field of Autism. He is renowned for his work and motivational, thought provoking discussions.
