Beyond Treatment Network: OCD and College

Description

The Beyond Treatment Network (BTN), created by OCD Wisconsin, provides a safe space for sharing, understanding and information. Not a lecture series, clinical intervention or therapy, through BTN you can share experiences and walk together down the sometimes challenging road of recovery.

We start with a brief overview and introduction by the facilitators of the topic and some possible points of discussion. The rest is up to you - the experts! It's a time to support one another, offer encouragement and your own experiences and how to overcome the challenges you navigate after treatment.

Your facilitators will be Dr. Brenda Bailey, PhD and Logan Grota who has lived experience. Some possible topics include:

- Navigating a new setting
- Finding resources on campus
- Managing symptoms away from your primary treatment team

Dr. Bailey provides supervision and training that promotes evidence-based treatments for OCD, anxiety, and depression. After graduating summa cum laude from the State University of New York at Potsdam with a bachelor’s degree in Honors Psychology, Dr. Bailey went on to earn her master’s and PhD in clinical psychology from Northern Illinois University. She then completed her pre-doctoral internship and post-doctoral fellowship at Rogers Behavioral Health in Oconomowoc. Dr. Bailey belongs to the International OCD Foundation, Association for Behavioral Cognitive Therapies, and American Psychological Association. Along with her clinical interests in evidence-based treatment, she is active in research regarding OCD and anxiety disorders.
