Quality in higher education is a blurred concept that can be interpreted in different ways. Next to quality in research and teaching, one may ask for instance about the quality of a university in relation to the community it serves. What about the social, democratic, ethical quality of a university? How do you define the quality of a curriculum? Is it the breadth and integration of local and global knowledge? In what ways does the university lend quality to the socio-economic and cultural context it operates in? What about the university’s capacity to respond to that context?
Reaching beyond a debate on rankings and the indicators they employ, this webinar asks university leaders how they define quality for their own universities and make it part of their leadership agenda.
