Adam Wolf
Founder & Chief Scientist @Arable Labs
Adam holds a PhD in Biology from Stanford, and later taught at Princeton. He brought his experience in agronomy, hydrology, and plant science to the creation of Arable. During his scientific career, Adam lived and researched in Russia, Africa, Europe, and East Asia, bringing a global perspective on the application of data to solving real-world problems. He believes that given the right tools, people can capably manage our world.
Nick Andrews
Instructor and Metro Small Farms Extension Agent @Oregon State University
Nick Andrews is a member of OSU’s Center for Small Farms & Community Food Systems serving Multnomah, Washington and Clackamas counties. Nick is also starting a state-wide Organic Extension program within the Center for Small Farms. The initial focus in that program is annual Organic crops throughout Oregon. Nick started with OSU Extension in 2005, and was previously an organic inspector with Oregon Tilth, orchard consultant in Hood River and vegetable entomologist in England and Scotland with ADAS. His work focuses on Organic vegetable production and beginning farmer training. Nick developed the Organic Fertilizer and Cover Crop Calculator in collaboration with Dan Sullivan and others at OSU. He is collaborating with OSU colleagues to develop Croptime, a degree-day modeling website for vegetable growers. Nick earned a B.S. in Horticulture from OSU in 1991 with a minor in Horticultural Science. He received a M.Sc. in Crop Protection with distinction from the University of Reading, UK.
Dr. Leonard Coop
Assistant Professor & Associate Director of the Integrated Plant Protection Center @Oregon State University
Dr. Coop supports general agriculture by developing and placing online, weather and climate driven models for numerous areas including IPM/pest models, plant disease risk models, crop models, horticultural models, beneficial species models, climate suitability models, and others. He is Associate Director for Decision Support Systems at IPPC and Director of the website: USPEST.ORG.
