Bring your friends and family to work together on various fun and meaningful projects to bring to life Dr. Martin Luther King Jr's inspirational legacy of community service, justice and equality for all.
On Monday, January 17, 2022 Youth Community Service (YCS) will partner with the City of Palo Alto and the Palo Alto OFJCC to co-host The Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service and Mitzvah Day. This event will take place in-person at a number of locations across the Mid-Peninsula region from 9am-noon and culminate in a post service Celebration online.

12:00noon – 1:30pm: Community invited for a post service celebration of the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. online where there will be speakers, performances and organization with information and additional service activities options.

Join hundreds of your neighbors for a community-wide day of Tikkun Olam (repair of the world) as part of a national day of service to honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
This intergenerational event will feature a range of hands-on service projects; participants will work in small groups on projects addressing issues of poverty, hunger, housing and homelessness, aging, the environment, and more. Open to all ages!
