Leave no single mother behind

Decent work, which is the priority theme of the 2023 UN Commission on Social Development (CSocD61), plays a key role in achieving poverty reduction and gender equality. With this side-event, MMM would like to draw attention to the specificity of the situation of single parents, in particular single mothers, and the challenges they face to access decent work. The event will also draw upon the experience of grassroots organisations to propose solutions to lift single mothers out of poverty and exclusion, and call on governments to act.
