Decommissioning solutions for a net zero world
Identified as an OGA Priority Action for 2021, decommissioning activities need to support the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions as we transition to a net zero future.

With global decommissioning costs set to total $42 billion through 2024, dominated by UK North Sea, the need for innovative, low carbon solutions is clear.

One such technology is DCT’s award-winning Casing Cement Breaker (CCB), which has been backed by Total and the Net Zero Technology Centre for its remarkable potential to transform the decommissioning industry.

Supporting sustainable P&A activity, this industry first significantly reduces rig time, showing that up to 50% less force is required to pull a casing following a run with the tool.

Even on challenging wells, the CCB can reduce operation time from 25 days to 12.5 days, equating to an emissions saving of around 3,000MT.

Following a series of successful endurance tests and recent technical refinements this year, the highly anticipated Casing Cement Breaker is nearing commercialisation.

Join Product Line Manager, Alan Glen, and Global Sales Manager, Edward Kerr, as they discuss the current decommissioning landscape, exciting new CCB technical developments, and how the tool can revolutionise decommissioning operations industry wide.

This free 40-minute event will also include a Q&A session, with the opportunity to ask Alan and Ed any questions you have around this one-of-a-kind breakthrough technology.
