The city of Las Vegas is offering a grant program to provide short-term assistance for up to three months of delinquent rent or mortgage payments to city residents who are experiencing housing insecurity due to COVID-19-related loss of income.
The Downtown Vegas Alliance, in partnership with the Nevada Business Information Network, is hosting a webinar featuring Las Vegas Councilman Brian Knudsen, Arcelia Barajas, Deputy Director of Community Services, and Melanie Riley and Stephany Coaley, Grant Program Coordinators, to provide residents with information about the city's Housing Assistance Program.
Attendees will hear about details of the program, eligibility requirements and the payment process. The deadline for pre-applications is July 31, 2020, or until the funds, which are provided on a first-come, first-served basis, are exhausted.
