We find ourselves in challenging times. Times in which we are given the opportunity to grow into a new normal, a new world. Going back should not be our goal. Rather we are presented an opening to create a brand new possibility. One that truly embraces and celebrates all of humanity and nature. This project is a chance to peer into that new world.
Visible Green Home® Tour is very excited to present a virtual continuation of the event series on The 713 Project - ‘For the Journey’. This new home construction project in Dexter, Michigan is registered with the USGBC with the certification goal of LEED for Homes® Platinum and is the first in the State to utilize the WarmFörm® frost-protected floating foundation system.
A LEED for Homes® Platinum home is one that meets the rigorous requirements of the United States Green Building Council’s green certification standards in eight different resource categories including: Innovation and Design; Location and Linkages; Sustainable Sites; Water Efficiency; Energy and Atmosphere; Materials and Resources; Indoor Environmental Quality; Awareness and Education. The WarmFörm® frost-protected floating foundation system is one that utilizes the latent heat of the Earth itself to prevent frost heave. This system is an ideal option for a home that will be utilizing a cost-effective slab on grade construction.
This will be conducted in a unique manner such that, unlike the typical online webinar, each and every attendee will be given the chance to ask questions through the virtual portal. We are taking on a bold challenge- to provide a direct, personal response to every single inquiry. Every single one!
Looking forward to seeing you at this live VIRTUAL tour!
