Physics Refresher with Dr. Traci B. Fox
This one-day virtual event will provide participants with a greater understanding of a broad range of topics in the field of Ultrasound Physics. This comprehensive review will be helpful to those preparing for registry and certification exams. It will also enhance general knowledge of sonographic physics as well as acquaint attendees on how to apply principles to improve daily scanning and image optimization. Course Objectives: Upon completion of this educational activity, the participant will be able to:
• Describe the physical principles pertinent to the creation and propagation of sound through soft tissue
• Discuss the components and functions of transducers and the ultrasound machine
• Describe how to manipulate the ultrasound equipment to optimize the image
• Discuss bioeffects, quality assurance, and practicing the ALARA principle
