TESL Ontario: Apps for English Language Teaching and Learning
What apps could be used to ensure learner engagement? Which apps suit which
teaching strategy? How do we promote collaboration in the classroom? Join us to learn
more about the effective use of apps.

Our presenter will provide an overview of some relevant apps to promote learner
engagement and collaboration. She will describe the apps, how to set them up, and
examples of activities to use in the classroom. She will provide alternatives of use for in-
person and virtual classroom settings. She will also describe how each app can suit
particular techniques or strategies in the language classroom.

This webinar will address:

* collaboration and the tracking progress.

Grazzia María Mendoza Chirinos (she/her), Education Specialist at USAID Honduras,
manages and designs education projects to support the Ministry of Education in
ensuring access, quality of education and safe learning spaces. She has been a language
educator for 28 years, is a consultant and teacher trainer. She holds a M.Ed. in
international education and a M.A. in TESOL. She is a US State Department Alumna
recognized for project development for teachers’ professional growth projects and
recognized by TESOL International Association for scholarship and service through the
Virginia French Allen Award. She is the founder and former President HELTA TESOL in
Honduras, former President of Latin America and Caribbean TESOL. She was a member
of the TESOL International Association Board of Directors from 2019-2022 and served as
Chair of the Finance Committee from 2021-2022.
