Yoga therapist and Art therapist, Ellen Horovitz, considers how and why to integrate these two therapeutic specialisms when working with clients dealing with mental health issues, communication issues in family relationships, or struggling to find balance and well-being in general. Her interoceptive research and therapeutic approach are intended to help both therapist and client reach a deeper understanding of how to understand and work through the issues they are facing. Ellen G Horovitz
Ellen Horovitz is an international leader and author in Art Therapy and Yoga Therapy, as well as a licensed art therapist, certified yoga therapist and psychotherapist. She is Professor Emerita and founder of the Nazareth College (Rochester, NY) graduate art therapy program, author of eight books and past president-elect of the American Art Therapy Association (AATA). Ellen works in private practice with individuals, couples, and families. She has given hundreds of lectures and workshops in the USA and around the world. Currently, she works for Pesi.com as a national speaker and lecturer. Ellen is an expert in the field of Deafness/Hard of Hearing. Elizabeth Larkam
Elizabeth is a pioneer of the Pilates Method Alliance ® initiative Heroes in Motion ® . She was awarded the Medal of the Danish Society of Military Medicine in recognition of her efforts to improve the rehabilitation of wounded soldiers. She is also a Feldenkrais® practitioner and a Gyrotonic® and Gyrokinesis® instructor. She has 48 programs on Pilates Anytime and eight on fusionpilatesedu.com. She is a Balanced Body Master Instructor and Mentor. Elizabeth has participated in eight dissection courses taught by master dissectors Carla Stecco, Gill Hedley and Todd Garcia. She taught the movement component of dissection courses hosted by Tom Myers and by Balanced Body Pilates. Elizabeth is a participant in the Fascial Net Plastination Project, sponsored by the Fascia Research Society at Guben Plastinarium. Elizabeth is author of 'Fascia in Motion: Fascia-focused movement for Pilates (Handspring Publishing 2017).
