World Went Away
a Visual Radio Play
Presented by FailSafe Festival
Saturday, September 26 @ 8pm
Join us for a virtual staged reading and immersive film experience via ZOOM.
Two years ago, in brick & mortar times, Playwright: Merryn Johns, Filmmaker: Maren Woodward, and Director: Louis DeVaughn Nelson joined voices for the Second Annual FailSafe Festival to bring you Until Proven Guilty - an interdisciplinary performance work about the trials & tribulations of the American media versus the American judicial system. A combination of theatre/dance/film, not juxtaposed but integrated into one interactive live show and incorporating social media, the work provided audiences with new ways to experience satire in the flesh.
This round, they are bringing together their talents to present a cutting-edge collaboration for a ONE NIGHT ONLY broadcast on ZOOM for the development of a new work.
World Went Away is an amorphous narrative that seeks to offer a fresh perspective on ZOOM performance.
When a wildly successful travel influencer, Adam, pays a surprise visit to his long-lost girlfriend, Nicole, with an offer she can't refuse - an incident from their past becomes the barometer for their potential future.
This show is FREE OF CHARGE.
