Greening The Banks: Financing a Net-Zero Future

The Greening the Banks (GTB) initiative, led by Allotrope Partners, aims to strengthen the capacity of Southeast Asian banks and financial institutions to actively participate in green finance, and scale renewable energy investments. Allotrope has been successfully partnering with banks in the Philippines since 2019, and is now launching in Vietnam. The GTB team is hosting a virtual dialogue to introduce this emerging initiative with the goal of understanding and addressing barriers banks face in Vietnam regarding the acceleration of green finance.

The primary objective for this event will be to introduce stakeholders to GTB, gather insights on the barriers and opportunities facing financial sector stakeholders, and establish the foundation for growing the GTB network in Vietnam. In the future, GTB will continue engaging stakeholders in capacity building dialogues on green finance and topics requested by stakeholders to accelerate Vietnam’s clean energy transition.
