June 22 - Summer Weather Outlook 2021
Eric Snodgrass, Nutrien Ag Solutions
Near-record dryness in spring has increased summer drought risk across portions of the corn belt. As pollination approaches, we will discuss the summer weather patterns that will impact US corn production (including topics of flash drought, severe storms, and the upcoming hurricane season). We will also review the safrinha crop from Brazil and the drought situation in Brazil that led to a drop in total production. Snodgrass will provide weather analysis and forecast resources and show where to access the most reliable weather content.
