Medicaid Work Requirements Don't Work
Date & Time

Selected Sessions:

Feb 20, 2025 02:00 PM

Description
Republicans in Congress are once again considering adding work requirements to Medicaid. These policies put applicants and enrollees at serious risk to obtaining and keeping Medicaid. The evidence on work and Medicaid points to two important conclusions: First, Medicaid coverage helps more people work. Second, work requirements are failed policies that increase red tape and take Medicaid away from people, and particularly people with disabilities, regardless of exemptions or attempted carveouts. We'll discuss why work requirements should not be added to Medicaid and what has been problematic about past legislative and administrative work requirement proposals. This webinar will be recorded. The recording and slides will be sent to all registrants approximately 1 week after the conclusion of the webinar. The slides will also be sent to all registrants 24 hours prior to the webinar. If you have any accommodation requests please contact our Operations Team (webinars@healthlaw.org) at least 4 days prior to the start of the webinar.
