Topic
Step Up LIVE: Policies, Programs, and People
Description
In our upcoming talk, we will discuss policies underpinning poverty and how they disproportionately impact households of color—predominantly women and children. Further, how could policy changes provide a solution for these issues. We also ask the question are there existing programs that need to be expanded or bolstered to help bridge gaps. We will focus in three key areas: Economics, Education, and Health.
