Mark Shultz and Deacon Tom Perry from Trinity Lutheran Church in Mission/Shawnee, Kansas discuss their experiences in creating and enhancing ministry for, as well as with the older adults in their congregation. They will share how God led Trinity to develop an intentional ministry which cares for, supports and utilizes the gifts of people of retirement age and beyond. They will also talk about the philosophy of their Older Adult Ministry and give specific ideas for starting and enhancing it in any congregation.

Dr. Mark Schulz (Senior Pastor @Trinity Lutheran Church) Pastor Mark is the Senior Pastor at Trinity and the lead pastor at the Mission campus. His greatest joy in ministry is connecting people to the love and forgiveness of Jesus Christ and helping them grow as followers of Jesus. Pastor Schulz has been with Trinity since 2013 and has served in pastoral ministry for over 30 years. Deacon Tom Perry (Senior Ministry Leader @Trinity Lutheran Church) Tom is a retired entrepreneur, who found his calling in retirement to work part-time to help develop and to lead the older adult ministry in his congregation. He is also Chair of the Older Adult Ministry Committee of the Kansas District, LCMS. The Committee connects with congregational and lay leaders to encourage and encourage and help establish enhanced Older Adult Ministry throughout the Kansas District.
