Bilal Nasier
Doctoral Candidate @University of Auckland
Bilal is currently a doctoral candidate at the University of Auckland's Clinical Psychology programme where he is exploring the experiences of Muslim youth following the March 15th terrorist attacks. Outside his studies, Bilal helps run Empower Youth Trust alongside a group of other young people, from both refugee and non-refugee backgrounds, with the aim of addressing the under-representation of former refugees in higher education. His commitment towards bettering the lives of young people saw him appointed to the Ministry of Youth Development's Partnership Fund Board in 2018 and the Centre for Asia Pacific Refugee Studies' Oversight Board earlier this year.
Fatumata Bah
Strategy & Business Design Consulting Analyst @Deloitte
Fatumata Bah is a former refugee from Sierra Leone, West Africa. She recently graduated from Auckland University of Technology where she studied towards a Bachelor of Health Science in Psychology and a Bachelor of Business in Management. Fatumata is now a Strategy and Business Design Consulting Analyst with Deloitte. Prior to joining Deloitte, Fatumata completed an internship at the Executive Office of the Secretary-General at the United Nations in New York. Fatumata is passionate about advocating for women's rights, cultural Intelligence (CQ) and diversity and inclusion"
