This innovative webinar on June 6 (new date!) features filmmaker and director Sergio Mataʻu Rapa and four North Shore (Oʻahu, Hawaiʻi) community leaders discussing the new film "Eating Up Easter," which premiered on PBS on May 25.
The panel will discuss how the issues raised in the documentary about cultural and community impacts from rampant tourism in Rapa Nui connect across the Pacific to the similar challenges in Hawaiʻi.
Solutions, options, and ideas for action will be discussed and welcomed in the Q&A from participants.
The webinar is sponsored by the Save Sharks Cove Alliance, Hawaiiʻi's Thousand Friends, Mālama Pūpūkea-Waimea, Surfrider Foundation, Kōkua Foundation, Patagonia-Haleiwa, Good Pitch Hawaiʻi, and Tin Roof Ranch.
