How the 'Grievance King' Helped to Create a Resolution Culture Through Mediation, with Karl Cockerill, East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
As a union rep, Karl was known as a “grievance king” until, over a decade ago, he was trained by Consensio to become an internal mediator. Now, Karl has facilitated hundreds of mediation cases and leads the Trust’s successful mediation programme. The trust has seen a sustained culture shift, and a significant reduction in sickness absence and formal grievance processes. Karl will also speak about the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on workplace conflict at the Trust.
