Complications are a complex topic. The traditional treatment for capsule contracture is total removal of the capsule and the use of a new implant. This can be challenging especially if the capsule is firmly attached to the chest wall. A new approach is proposed by Dr. Ding where the capsule is not removed.
Regarding implant malposition, the traditional treatment of implant displacement is to suture the gap away from the normal position through the incision on the edge of the areola. Most of the patients in Asia do not want a scar around the areola, so a new approach is proposed by Dr. Ding based on the creation of a new space for the implant. Dr. Ding will share some clinical cases based on these new approaches.
