Daughters of the Kush: A Play by George Corbin
At the dawning of the Civil Rights movement, in a middle-sized university in America’s midwest, an idealistic white student raised by black parents decides to pledge the only black sorority on campus. What she hoped was an act of trailblazing racial solidarity instead revealed a volatile brew of jealousy, colorism and bullying among the ranks of the Daughters of the Kush — leading to devastating consequences that just might last the rest of their lives.
