SUPPORTING COMMUNITY AND CIVIL SOCIETY ENGAGEMENT IN THE IAS COVID-19 PREVENTION CONFERENCE
The African Alliance, the Vaccine Advocacy Resource Group, the Global Network of Young People Living with HIV (Y+ Global) and the READY Movement bring you a series of lectures focusing on the four pillars of the International AIDS Society’s “COVID-19 Conference: Prevention”.

The International AIDS Society will be hosting the “COVID-19 Conference: Prevention” that will feature the latest in prevention-related science, policy and practice. The conference will take place virtually on Tuesday, 2nd February 2021 – and will include invited-speaker sessions and abstract presentations. Amidst global efforts to develop a vaccine, this conference will examine all aspects of SARS CoV-2 infection prevention, including non-pharmaceutical interventions, active and passive immunisation and related science.

The objective of these skills-building sessions is to maximise engagement and to ensure that community voices – who have been working on the front lines of the COVID-19 response are heard and form part of the conference deliberations and to ensure they have the skills they need to participate in the conference meaningfully.
