Fostering Wellness through Mindfulness

This course is about paying attention to and seeing clearly what is happening in the present moment. Being present, rather than being lost in memories of the past or overwhelmed by worries about the future. It is a simple meditative practice that strengthens one’s ability to stay focused, to calm the mind and release physical distress. Research has shown that mindfulness training is associated with lower anxiety and depression, better mood, improved concentration, enhanced vitality, and improved immune function. Join us for this five -week program to learn mindfulness tools to support greater well-being in your life. Participants are asked to make a strong commitment to attend sessions, and to practice mindfulness/relaxation techniques on a regular basis throughout the program. (class is limited to 20 participants)
